Hi folks: Received your cheque and note today. Glad to hear the Caps arrived in time. We are getting another blast of winter here with prospects of another foot of snow and we just received 7 inches of it two nites ago. Hard to believe it is almost April.
Let me know if you get the pics of the calves with their Caps on up on your site. By the way your site is very interesting. I love the mountains (strange as I live in the very flat prairie )so a glimpse of them in some of your pics is really neat.
We had black angus for 20 years, then when our son left home and set up his own farm he took the blacks, we then went to Shorthorns, it was a toss up between them and the Speckles. But not too many speckle breeders in this part of the world so rather than research far away herds, we went with the Shorts. We are now retired but enjoyed our time with the Shorts, they are much more docile and easier to handle than the blacks. We still have our main herd out on shares so keeping our hands in the cattle industry for now. Take care and good luck calving.
